(4/5) Pesche and Dondochakka kick ass

Pesche is genuinely one of my most favorite characters, so when he noticed that Nel had transformed and decided to get serious, I remember just thinking “NO WAY!!” He uses his infinite slick to make Szayel drop the voodoo dolls, he then tells Dondochakka to bring forth Bawabawa from his gut, which gives me a very Tommyrod feel (From Toriko) if these two ever come back to the series I would like to see what else they can pull out from there. Pesche then draws his sword Ultimo from his loincloth and Dondochakka reveals his. Pesche is especially awesome (and hilarious) here when he reveals his sword as it looks just like Ishida’s Seele Schneider. He even manages to land a hit in on Szayel here to Renji’s surprise. After this they decide to finish Szayel off quickly with their newly developed Cero, Cero Sincretio, which is basically a giant double swirling cero. Ultimately they do fail and I know this was just an excuse for time constraints until Mayuri arrived on the scene but I felt like this was a more deserving spot on my best moment list!!

(3/5) Tosen’s death.

I never really liked Tosen at all, that is until his legitimate final moments. When Tosen revealed his hollow powers and absolutely took out Hisagi I was like SHIT he must be out for the count now but surely Komamura will be able to take him down. But NO Tosen transformed into a pure hollow where he regained his eyesight and just anhiliated Komamura. Tosen then tells Komamura how ugly he is (irony much) and decides to finish him off with a double cero to the face. As Komamura accepts death he apologizes to Iba, Hisagi and the Tosen he used to know. When suddenly a blade pierces through Tosen’s head and it is actually his old vice captain Hisagi who tells him he would never have fallen for such a cheap trick if Tosen was still blind, he then releases his sword inside of his skull rupturing his esophagus killing him slowly. Tosen then tries to apologize in his last moments to Komamura and asks to see Hisagi’s face before he passes although he doesn’t get his final wish as Aizen makes him explode.

JUST WOW. What a way to go, absolutely perfect!

(2/5) Ichigo’s bankai.

While something similar to this exact event happened recently, it was on no where near as cool a level as to this first reveal. I had no idea what to expect having already seen the large bankai’s from Mayuri and Renji. But Ichigo having a small sleak blade was really cool and you knew shit was about to kick off now. Although afterwards I was somewhat disapointed that it just made Ichigo faster, that will never take away the first moment when the dust settles and you see Ichigo’s whole bankai look which is now absolutely timeless.

OK Need to catch up again. Starting with the top 5 moments.

(1/5) Aizen reveals himself.

Obviously this is my top moment in Bleach, as it still remains as the biggest plot twist this series ever had and I am pretty safe in saying nobody saw it coming. It was expertly crafted, Aizen’s plan, the fact Gin and Tosen were helping him from the shadows and the fact he still managed to get away in the end. Nothing will ever top this.

(6/6) Heart - Chapter 354

This chapter truly is beautiful, it gives a huge character a great send off that he deserved. R.I.P. Ulquiorra Schiffer.

As Ulquiorra slowly slips away into nothing he still wonders to himself what the heart really is, repeating my favorite quote from the series. “What is the heart? If I tear open your chest will I see it inside? If I shatter your skull will I see it in there?” He then suddenly realises as he reaches his hand out towards Orihime’s the woman who finally taught him what humans mean when they say heart. I also like how he starts to lose vision as he reaches out. As Orihime tries to grab his hand though it turns to ash as he starts to fade away. As he is fading he comes to the conclusion that the heart is “This thing in my hand”. There is then a cut to where Yammy is fighting as he notices the drop in reiastu. Chad, Renji and Rukia then also realise and wonder if Ichigo has won. Yammy, pissed off then laments that he was going to go and help Ulquiorra after he had defeated these guys. The three then laugh at his criminally low Espada rank. Yammy then releases him zanpakuto as Chad and Renji diss his rank making the 1 in his tattoo disappear leaving him as apparently the strongest Espada, the zero Espada and a huge hulking, towering colossus. There is the one final cut to Fake Karakura Town as Hallibel is wiping the floor with Hitsugaya she also releases her zanpakuto.

A great chapter that had a great send off for Ulquiorra, an absolutely ridiculous plot twist that made Yammy the strongest Espada, which I still refuse to believe and the shift in scenery to FKT make this chapter one of my all time favs!!

(5/6) Tell Your Children the Truth - Chapter 186

What a twist for the beginning of an arc. Not only the revealing of Ishida’s father Ryuken but ALSO that Ichigo’s father Isshin was a shinigami captain.

The chapter starts off with Ishida being saved from arrancar menos from his father. The fact he calls his Father by his first name also gives us the first clue towards there more than shaky relationship. He then gives Ishida a tip to deal with high speed regeneration in which you should immediately deal with the head first which does seem logical, silly Ishida. He then asks his Dad why he has quincy powers as Ishida believed his Dad to look down on the quincy and to have already given up their powers. So Ryuken reveals to Ishida that it is infact he who is the last quincy as he owns the quincy cross. Ryuken then also reveals that he can bring back Ishida’s powers however only if Ishida promises not to get involved with shinigami affairs ever again. We then cut to Kon in Ichigo’s body being chased by the arrancar Grand Fisher. As Kon puts absolutely all his effort into running away Grand Fisher finally pins him down but as the arrancar goes in for the kill the luck charm Kon has activates into a protective barrier as someone else comes into the equation as Ichigo’s substitute. Only Isshin, Ichigo’s Dad dressed up in a captain’s robe. Honestly one of the best plot twists EVAR. At least for Bleach.
